How to beat Patchu in a pet battle? ›

Easy Strategy: Use a level 1 pet with an Undead ability, a level 1 pet with an Elemental ability, and a level 1 pet with a Dragonkin ability. Has your Mechanical death ability activated? If yes (you are one hit off dying), use Wind-Up. If not, use Supercharge, then Wind-Up.

Despite Patchu being a tough opponent, he is susceptible to strong Elemental damage, and the Christmas pets are an excellent matchup against him.

The most effective way to level up pets (apart from using Training Stones) is fighting against trainers. The majority of those encounters grant 5x more experience than defeating wild pets. Unfortunately a lot of those are limited to just one fight a day.

To cage or release pets, open your Collections (Shift-P) and click on the Pet Journal tab at the bottom. Pets captured in the wild can only be released. Locate the pet in the left pane, right-click, and select Release. Most other pets can be caged by right-clicking and selecting Put In Cage.

I soloed Swog with a level 25, rare Sandstinger Wasp using Slicing Wind, Cocoon Strike and Predatory Strike. After that, use Cocoon whenever Swog is pumped up. Use Slicing Wind and Predatory Strike as fillers. If required, finish him with a second flying pet.

Primal Rage is a level 26 Ferocity hunter pet ability. It grants a bloodlust effect, temporarily increasing the haste of all party and raid members by a significant amount. This ability is available to all hunter specializations as long as their current pet is a Ferocity pet.

You can beat this guy using any pet with the "haunt" ability(I used decaying mawrat), and then Ikky(or another pet that has "black claw" and an ability similar to "flock"). It might also be a good idea to keep a 3rd pet that does aquatic damage as a backup.

Strategy. Due to its low health and massive damage and range, spawn non-stop fast attackers like Mr. or Cow Cat and, after multiple attacks, the boss will die and you will win the battle. Alternatively, critical hitters can be timed during its time between attacks in order to get some hits off.

The Cray Claw will have multiple parts of its body that you can target and attack. You can attack its legs, its face, or its tail. Dealing enough damage to one part of its body will temporarily make the Cray Claw shut down. When it is shut down, that's when you should go all-in and attack it.
